How to Use the Business Grants Portal (BGP): Step-by-Step Guide for SMEs

Singapore’s Business Grants Portal (BGP) is the centralised online platform where companies apply for government grants — including PSG, EDG, MRA, and many others. If you are applying for a government grant for the first time, navigating the BGP can feel overwhelming. There are multiple sections, specific document requirements for each grant, and a precise sequence of steps that must be followed.

This step-by-step guide walks you through everything you need to know to successfully register on the BGP, find the right grant, and submit a complete application.

What Is the Business Grants Portal?

The BGP is managed by GovTech Singapore and serves as a one-stop platform for businesses to discover, apply for, and manage government grant applications. It integrates with Singpass and Corppass for authentication, and connects to your company’s ACRA profile for automatic verification of business details.

Most major EnterpriseSG grants — including PSG, EDG, and MRA — are processed through the BGP. CCP applications, however, are handled through Workforce Singapore’s separate Application Management System (AMS). Our consultants are familiar with both platforms.

“The BGP is well-designed, but there are several non-obvious steps that trip up first-time applicants — particularly around document uploads, declaration forms, and project start dates. Getting it wrong means starting over.”
